Qualifications

Special attention is given to groups that meet one of the focus areas below, impact the Jerome community and have 501(c)(3) status.

• Organizations that make a valuable long-term impact in the Jerome Community.
• Increase access and availability of proteins to those in need.
• Improve and support education, with an emphasis on rural agriculture.

In addition to the above focus areas, emphasis is also placed on the criteria below.

• Programs that have strong volunteer support.
• Programs that serve specific needs of people and improve their lives.
• Programs with long-term effects.
• Programs that encourage wide community support.

Review Periods

Donation requests that meet True West Beef’s donation criteria are reviewed quarterly. For your request to be considered it needs to be submitted by the 1st of each review month. Please make sure when submitting your request that you are within the quarterly time frame that aligns with the dates of your contribution request.

The current contribution review and reward schedule is as follows:

• January
• April
• July
• October

True West Beef will review one request per qualifying organization in a calendar year.

Additional Considerations

As a general rule* True West Beef will not make contributions to the following:

• Churches or religious organizations for the purpose of religious advocacy.
• Capital Campaigns/capital expenditures and endowment campaigns.
• Lobbying/political organizations for political purposes.
• Athletic teams and team events.
• Funding individuals unrelated to agribusiness, including transportation and travel expenses.
• Organizations without 501(c)(3) status.

*These are merely guidelines. True West Beef reserves the sole and absolute discretion to determine recipients of its charitable contributions. True West Beef may exclude or include organizations as True West Beef deems appropriate.
